A Brief Job Description:
The current expansion of peer services throughout the mental health and substance use service system has resulted in the need for increased service coordination. It is critical that the roles of peer workers be clearly defined and integrated with other providers of services. It is also critical that the array of peer supports work in alignment with each other in order to ensure service efficiency and alignment. The Peer Coordinator serves as a primary voice for peer services in the County, assesses the service gaps and needs related to peer supports, and engages in a broad range of service planning, development and improvement projects.
