A Brief Job Description:

Purpose: Responsible for identifying and linking low and middle skill parents with childcare needs, to community-based service resources that support the parent’s employability and education/training related to career advancement. Provides a wide range of career planning activities including: job readiness soft skills workshops, career assessments, worksite tours, and job placement. Coordinates with local educational and training institutions, businesses and one-stop center. Key Functions:  Conducts career planning assessments and a wide range of career planning activities.  Provides career counseling and guidance to program participants and monitors progress and assist with addressing identified barriers as needed.  Develops and maintains relationships with local educational and training institutions.  Develops and maintains relationships with employers in targeted industries and occupations. Attends industry meetings and events to maximize communications and gain a detailed understanding of the sector and employment opportunities.  Provides participants with individual job placement assistance. This could include: resume writing, interviewing, job search tools and strategies, job referrals, and job/internship development.  Provides proper documentation of all recorded visits and work done on behalf of Programs participants via case notes.  Achieves 100% of yearly established productivity standards in conjunction with applicable program contracts, goals, and objectives.  Tracks all job development activities, participant progress, workshops, placements and obtained employment.  Develops monthly activity and outcome reports.  Works collaborative within the department and with other internal departments to foster effective working relationships to ensure that participants needs are met.  Advocates on behalf of consumers and interfaces with partners and stakeholders as needed.  Adheres to Company policies and procedures to include being aware of the importance of Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Conduct. Staff is responsible for maintaining required certifications and licenses.  Attends necessary trainings and in-services, participates in department and agency meetings as required.  Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor/director.
