Gwen Olton, MA, BSN, RN

Director of Practice Transformation

Gwendolyn Olton, MA, BSN, RN is the Director of Practice Transformation where she applies her solid understanding of best practices in behavioral health and extremely strong consensus building and facilitation skills to help CCSI customers in their efforts to provide the highest quality care for the people they serve. Gwendolyn plays a lead role in researching, developing, and deploying new content and delivery modalities for practice change in multiple contexts related to behavioral health and human service delivery fields. Gwendolyn has developed workshops and consultation models on a variety of topics including trauma-informed care and restorative practices, self-care and compassion fatigue, the impact of technology on our brains, and many others. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and has experience training organizations in this and other person-centered communication approaches.  Gwendolyn also works in a number of community organizations as a conflict and communication consultant, mediator, and restorative justice facilitator. She has experience implementing collaborative decision making and restorative processes as well as trained other facilitators in these roles. Gwendolyn studied philosophy with a focus in ethics at the University of Rochester. She also received degrees in nursing from St. John Fisher College and a master’s in conflict resolution from Arcadia University
