Managed Care Readiness

New York State’s Adult Behavioral Health Medicaid Managed Care Program is transforming into a system requiring greater emphasis on person-centered and recovery-focused practices, integration of physical and behavioral health services delivery, heightened performance expectations, and use of effective, evidenced-based practices.  CCSI’s Center team understands the significance of the changes taking place in the State's Medicaid Managed Care Program and can assist customers with assessing the degree of readiness for that transformation, identifying where there may be some gaps, and then helping providers implement the changes needed to support success in a Managed Care environment.   Center staff can also help providers demonstrate their impact by "measuring what matters" as they plan for and deliver essential and cost-effective services in the region.  Much of the work of the Center assists our customers in learning how to build relationships with Managed Care Organizations and developing effective Utilization Management practices.  With support from CCI’s Center, providers learn how to collaborate and contribute more fully in a value-driven and regionalized health care system, while supporting the delivery of the highest quality of services to their local community.
