The IT manager is responsible for the maintenance and continued enhancement of the IT infrastructure of the agency. The position manages multiple contractors and serves as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support. Additionally, the IT Manager is responsible for the maintenance of network resources and internal data sources. The ideal candidate has the ability to shift rapidly between numerous and widely ranging tasks. The work of the IT manager is split between help-desk management, network administration and database administration. The position does not require expertise in database or network administration, however the ideal candidate will function as a resource for staff utilizing these resources and a conduit for addressing issues as they arise.
It is expected that the IT Manager will be consistently identifying new opportunities to streamline workflows through technology and proactively identifying new opportunities to implement technical solutions to issues faced by the organization. The IT Manager will work with agency staff and leadership to identify requirements and potential solutions in accordance with agency need.
