GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for daily and routine maintenance of the Agency therapeutic swimming pool and pool deck. Responsible for the overall safety of individuals in pool area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensures the safety and well and wellbeing of pool users at all times while in the pool and on the pool deck.
•Follows all established guidelines in the event of an emergency including to administer First Aid and obtaining imediate medical assistance.
•Complete all required procedures to ensure proper mainteance of pool
QUALIFICATIONS
•H.S. diploma/G.E.D. required.
•Must be 18 years of age
•Minimum of one year of experience working as a Lifeguard required
•The ability to lift 50 lbs. dead weight above shoulder level required.
•American Red Cross or YMCA training in Life Guarding required. Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification required
•Thorough knowledge of water practices, rules and regulations and water rescue
•American Red Cross certification in CPR, First Aid and AED
