CP Rochester exists to support people with physical and developmental disabilities in choosing and accomplishing successive individualized life goals. We do this by providing a wide range of services to people of all ages in the greater Rochester area. Our purpose in to insure that those we serve safely determine their own pathways in life and live as full members of their communities.
We are currently seeking a Full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team of Clinical Professionals in our Augustin’s Children’s Center and the Clinical and Therapeutic Services Department. Individualized programs and attention from our experienced staff are delivered on our campus in an ideal, accessible suburban setting featuring a gymnasium, outdoor classroom, playground and a heated swimming pool.
Responsibilities:
• Imparts agency philosophy of “Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence” to individuals, families, program staff and community resources.
• Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy.
• Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of children enrolled in or referred to the birth to five years program for occupational therapy.
• Serving adult individuals with orthopedic and neurological needs designated by the OT Supervisor.
• Provide services according to departmental and professional standards of care.
• Evaluate patients’ progress and prepare reports that detail progress.
• Clinicians will also need to be willing and able to treat both our children and adult population.
• Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
• Performs other duties at the discretion of the Program Director or his/her designee.
Hours of Employment: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy.
• New York State licensure or eligibility required.
• Experience with the Developmentally Disabled population is desirable.
