SUMMARY
Recovery Coach serves as a peer advocate to an active patient in Chemical Dependency. This position requires a good understanding of self-help groups and recovery process from alcohol or drug addiction.
STATUS: Part-Time (20 Hours)

ATTRIBUTES
- Required Licensure/Certification Skills: Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) – required within one year of hire
- 1-3 years of work experience as a certified or provisionally certified peer advocate in chemical dependency preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support, Training & Documentation. Provides support and guidance to patients who are receiving addiction services.Interacts with the clinical staff in a professional manner.Documents in the medical record in a timely manner, the services provided. Maintains credential in good standing and attends OASAS trainings to further develop skill as recovery coach.Recruits and supervises volunteers and provides training.
